Don Kilby is a professional artist living and working along the shores of the beautiful Georgian Bay of the Great Lakes. ‘The Kilby Gallery’ situated In the charming village of Clarksburg, Ontario, features exclusively his original artwork.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, drawing and painting were always a big part of Don’s life, eventually leading him to study Technical Illustration at Sheridan College.

Following school, Don embarked on a career as a commercial artist, creating artwork for use in corporate, publishing and advertising applications. Highlights in the automotive field included creating corporate auto themed artwork for Magna International, world wide auto parts producer, as well as writing and illustrating a series of children’s books titled ‘The Mighty Machine Series.’

Upon entering the world of fine art, Don’s original paintings quickly became appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts, earning numerous awards at juried art shows, including multiple ‘best of show’ awards.

While Don’s artistic eye encompasses a broad array of subject matter, auto themed art continues to be among his most celebrated.

‘The Concours de Elegance at Cobble Beach’ created in the spirit of Pebble Beach, is Canada’s premiere automotive showcase. On multiple occasions, Don has been invited to exhibit his automotive art there.

With each new painting, Don’s quest is to capture a striking likeness of his subject, which combined with painterly brushwork and skillful compositional planning, results in a truly exceptional and unforgettable work of art!
